Mitchell Crawford (Timothy Richardson) is a 27-year-old journalist from Brooklyn. During the summer of 1993, Mitchell meets Raheim Rivers (Thomas Mackie), a 24-year-old bicycle messenger from Harlem.
The story revolves around the clash of class and culture as a college-educated journalist falls in love with a homeboy.
