Isaac Dowley (Chris Medlin) grows up in Ohio with his adoptive parents. His true passion is cooking, and he decides to move to Serenity to work as a chef at Sullivan's restaurant. The real reason for his move is to discover the identity of his biological mother.
Michael (Kyle Findley) is an old acquaintance of Isaac's from college. The two had a friendly rivalry and were described as “frenemies.” From the moment they first met, their mutual interest and chemistry were obvious.
